Onion Harvesting

Today we harvested the Patterson cooking onions from our field. This crop was transplanted in late May.
We tested our weeders - both the basket weeders and finger weeders- in these onions throughout their growing cycle, and we were able to collect some data from the crop near the end of its growth for the AI row following.
Folks from the Waterloo Region foodbank came out for a visit to the farm as we finished cleaning and packing the onions. It was awesome to get to show off our field and tractor and hear about where our produce is going!

Final numbers were 12 bins, weighing 504lbs in total!
